The Wedding Party

Cecilia Ku Maid of Honor Ah yes, my dearest sister, personal shopper, stylist, reality check, wedding coordinator, and maid of honor. There’s a big age difference between my sister and I, so I had the privilege of watching her grow from a cello toting little tike to the stylish and sophisticated young woman that she is today. I don’t often tell her how truly awesome it is to have a sister like her and how much I appreciate having her around but I do. I am blessed to have her with me on my biggest day |

Jay Abrahamse Best Man Ah 214, the good ol’ days. Those were some of my fondest memories in college – from sneaking beer to gaming all night, some of the best times of my life with you buddy. Who would have thought you would be my best man one day? No one has taught me more about Star Wars or Dungeons and Dragons, two very important life topics, in my opinion. I appreciate your friendship all these years and I am looking forward to sharing my big day with you by my side. |

Judi Yu-Dai Bridesmaid Oftentimes I forget that I only met Judi (officially) when she married Dom. I sometimes forget that we’re related and just refer to her as my good friend since she is my drinking buddy and partner in crime. It is she that taught me how to “kung-fu fight” with style and how to appreciate the art of meticulously picking a crawfish clean. I look forward to having her stand with me as I begin the next chapter in my life and to once again show us her “kung-fu fighting” skills. |

Dominio Dai Groomsman Dom, you have welcomed me into your family with open arms and no questions asked (even though I am, as you so eloquently put it, a dirty stinkin’ hippy liberal) and I thank you for that – and that is a great thing, as I pity anyone who ever gets on your bad side. And I’m very sorry that we couldn’t get Cecilia to agree to the giant chicken Boba Fett tuxedos, I think they would have been very classy. Oh well, maybe for the rehearsal dinner… I’ll pencil it in. |

Lian Yuen Bridesmaid 16 years is a long time to have a friend and I’m glad to say that Lian and I have known each other from adolescence to adulthood and through thick and thin. It was her that I told initially that I was never getting married and then it was her wedding that took Mike and I to D.C. where we got engaged. It seems only fitting that it is also her that is with me when Mike and I take our vows. I will always cherish our friendship and the knowledge that she’s always “got my back”. |

David Hardison Groomsman My brother the family man. It’s hard to believe we are both now starting families of our own now - Theresa and I just starting out, and Rhonda and you bringing your son, my nephew, Logan into the world earlier this year. It seems just yesterday that you were pumping iron and brushing your hair, looking to Lorenzo Lamas for spiritual guidance, and me trying to emulate your every move. I love you brother and I look up to you more than you know. |
